Ronsco Supplied More Than 450 Tons Of 1.4436 Stainless Steel Materials For The Hong Kong Tseung Kwan O Bridge

The Tseung Kwan O bridge is a project across the Tseung Kwan O Bay in Hong Kong. It is divided into three parts: the main bridge, the east approach bridge and the west approach bridge. The main bridge is composed of steel box girder and steel arch, and all approach bridges are steel box girders. The main span is an outward inclined butterfly steel arch bridge with a length of 214 meters, and 100m side span steel box girders are arranged on both sides. The steel arch of the project is made of S690L, and the steel box girder is made of S420M high-strength steel. The overall transportation weight of the main bridge is about 11000 tons.

The bridge connects the road across the bay, with a total length of about 1.8km. Among them, 1km is an offshore viaduct, and the deck width of the main bridge is about 35.8m. The main bridge part of the project is assembled in the factory as a whole, slid onto the ship as a whole, shipped to the bridge site as a whole, and installed by floating method. The construction is difficult and challenging. It is reported that the project is planned to be completed in 2022. After completion, it will be the largest steel arch bridge in Hong Kong, which will become another landmark large-scale sea crossing bridge in Hong Kong after Tsing Ma Bridge and Stonecutters Island Bridge.
