┃ Material
PH15-7Mo, Type 632, UNS S15700, 1.4532, 15Cr-7Ni, 07Cr15Ni7Mo2Al
┃ Overview
PH15-7Mo is a chromium-nickel-molybdenum-aluminum semi-austenitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel that provides high strength and hardness, good corrosion resistance and minimum distortion upon heat treatment. It is easily formed in the soft austenitic annealed condition and develops an effective balance of properties by simple heat treatments.
┃ Characteristics
PH15-7Mo is similar to 17-7PH. It is designed with substitution of approximately 2.0 percent molybdenum for 2.0 percent chromium in the S17700 alloy. This results in somewhat higher room and elevated temperature strength for the PH15-7Mo.
┃ Application
PH15-7Mo is particularly beneficial for applications requiring high strength at elevated temperatures.
For applications requiring exceptionally high strength,cold-reduced PH15-7Mo Stainless Steel in Condition CH900 is particularly useful for applications permitting only limited ductility and workability.

┃ Corrosion resistance
The corrosion resistance of PH15-7Mo is not quite as good as that of Type 304 stainless steel in most media. In general, the corrosion resistance of 17-7PH is superior to that of the hardenable 400 series stainless steels.

┃ Heat treatment
Solution Heat Treatment
Tubing shall be solution heat treated by heating to 1950±25°F (1066℃±14℃), holding at heat for a time commensurate with wall thickness and heating equipment and procedure used, and cooling in air or quenching in water.
After austenite conditioning and precipitation heat treating, tubing shall have the properties shown in above after being austenite conditioned by heating to 1400±25°F (760±14°C), holding at heat for 90±5 minutes, cooling to 55±5°F (13±3℃) within one hour, holding at that temperature for not less than 30 minutes, and precipitation heat treated by heating to 1050±10°F (566±6℃), holding at heat for 90±5minutes, and cooling to room temperature.
